The Wichita Children’s Home cares for victims of abuse, abandonment, and neglect, as well as runaways, children facing family crisis, and children who may be at risk in their homes. The Wichita Children’s Home was founded in 1888 as the city’s first orphanage for the “support and care of destitute and homeless children.”
Today, the Wichita Children’s Home offers the only emergency, temporary residential shelter for children in their community.
On May 16, 2010 they held a benefit to raise money for this great cause. Sean Rash, professional bowler and Wichita State Alum graciously donated a custom bowling ball and bowling bag for the silent auction.
