Ball Care

The printed image on your OnTheBallBowling (OTBB) Ball is not permanent. Please follow the instructions below to maintain your OTBB Ball.

1. The use of a ball cleaning or polishing machine (i.e. Lustre King) can be used.  The buffing cycle on these type machines will protect the surface and maintain the printed image on your OTBB Ball.

2. For dirt or grease removal, apply any alcohol based cleaner to a clean soft towel and rub the affected area until clean.  When used properly, alcohol based cleansing solutions will not harm the surface or image on the ball.

3. If a mechanical resurfacing machine (Haus) is used to smooth out the shell of the ball DO NOT use the diamond-cutting wheels.  Using the diamond cutting wheels WILL CAUSE the printed image to fade.

Recommendation: Skip the first step of the Diamond Wheel cycle and start with the Gray Scotch Brite pads (which is 1000 grit) for five minutes. Continue on to the next step and polish the ball to finish.

4.  If you are using a hand spinner or a Cook Sphere machine to repair nicks or to smooth out the shell of the ball DO NOT use a grade of 400 grit or stronger on the surface of the ball.  After seven minutes on a hand spinner with 400 grit sandpaper the printed image on the ball will begin to fade.

Recommendation: Start with 800 grit sandpaper and work all four sides of the ball.  Then continue onto 1000 grit, then onto 2000 grit, and after the final sanding, finish with polish to restore the shine.
