“Iggy” Strode has been in the Radio Business since 1992. He started his Kegglers Corner show 13 years ago with Bo Burton and Dick Weber and continues it today with his Co-Host Alena Matthews. ESPN considered Iggy one of the top 5 Sports Producers in the country when they offered him a job back in 2001.

Besides Producing and hosting shows, Iggy also conducts interviews for his Straight to Web Celebrity interviews on kfns.com and insidstl.com. Phase 2 of Danny’s plan was to foster this newly formed relationship into other areas of his business. The event was listed on the Nassau County Girl Scout website which promotes to over 20,000 girls scouts, and Danny was even invited to attend Girl Scout events in the local malls. “Prior to receiving the invitation from the Girl Scouts, I had tried to get into the local malls to promote our center, but the fee to do so is $1500 per day. Talk about free publicity!” adds Danny.   In total, Danny says his Girl Scout Leagues have floored over a hundred bowlers which has generated positive publicity and incremental food and beverage sales for the center.   As an added bonus, five parents booked their daughters’ birthday parties at the center on the first day of the league. Danny is working on the next Girl Scout league and expects a turnout of 100 – 150 bowlers based on what he has heard from the parents.

Just like many other celebrity sports star, Jeff Gordon held a bowling charity event on July 28, 2011 in Indianapolis to raise funds for the Riley Hospital for Children.  Jeff Gordon’s Children’s Foundation celebrated their 10th year in support of the hospital.

Since its first gift in 2001, The Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation has donated more than $1.58 million to Riley Hospital for Children. In addition, Gordon made a pledge of $1.5 million to Riley Children’s Foundation in 2010, establishing the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation Pediatric Cancer Research Fund. The fund provides vital resources for Riley Hospital/Indiana University School of Medicine researchers seeking to impact treatments, therapies and cures.

In attendance of the event were many PBA stars; Parker Bohn III, Doug Kent, Mike Aulby and Danny Wiseman,  They were all on hand to give tips to the many supporters of the foundation.  OnTheBallBowling.com made some special commemorative small balls given away to some lucky attendees.  The photo above shows Leslie Bohn, Jeff Gordon and Parker Bohn III with the custom balls.
